Advanced Installer is intended to create and maintain installation packages for Windows. The tool has an intuitive interface. There are two ways to compose your package: you can click on a given project type or use the available wizard.

Fortunately, this tool supports various types of projects, including Installer, Java, Updates, Add-ins, Merge Modules, and Mobile, which are further subdivided into such types as Visual Studio Application, .NET application, Java application, patches, to mention just a few. Moreover, you can import projects that were originally created in another application.

One of the advantages of this application is that it can effectively manage licenses. Thus, it can help you create a license mechanism to let the user test the application for a given period of time. What is more, it allows creating per-user and corporate licenses. Furthermore, the created packages can also check for updates. A final advantage is that these packages include the necessary data and applications to uninstall the program when the user does not need it anymore.

In general, this tool can create installers that satisfy the necessities of software developers. Unfortunately, it is quite pricey, mostly for individual and amateur programmers.
